Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for being the pioneer of research into child witnesses as well as eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer as well as received numerous grants. She has also been recognized with numerous national and international prizes. She has collaborated with various government agencies and governments across the globe on policy and studies on child victims in the legal system. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). Professor Goodman is a member in a variety of professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
